Who We Really Are

We're a bunch of architecture nerds who got tired of seeing the same old boxes popping up everywhere. Started this whole thing back in 2011 because we believed buildings could actually give a damn about the planet.

Our team at work

How We Got Here

It's been quite a ride from sketching on napkins to actual buildings people live and work in. Here's the honest timeline of our journey through the chaos of contemporary architecture.

2011

The Beginning

Founded in a cramped Toronto studio. Three partners, one dream, way too much coffee. We had more passion than sense, honestly.

2014

First Big Break

Won the Harbourfront residential project. Finally convinced people that eco-friendly doesn't mean ugly. Changed everything for us.

2017

Going National

Expanded beyond Ontario. Projects in Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary. Team grew to 18. Still felt like a family, just a bigger, louder one.

2023

Today

Over 150 completed projects. Awards we're actually proud of. But mainly? Buildings that work with nature, not against it.

Our design philosophy

What Drives Us Daily

Look, we're not gonna pretend we're saving the world single-handedly. But every building we design? It's gotta earn its spot on this planet. That means thinking about energy, materials, how people actually live in the space - not just how pretty it looks in photos.

We've learned the hard way that sustainable design isn't about following a checklist. It's about understanding the site, the climate, the people who'll use the space. Sometimes the greenest solution is the one that makes everyone scratch their heads at first.

The Actual Humans Behind the Work

No corporate speak here. Just real people who argue about window placements and get way too excited about insulation materials.

Elena Rodriguez

Elena Rodriguez

Principal Architect & Co-Founder

Started sketching buildings at age 7, never stopped. She's the one who pushes us to think bigger while keeping our feet on the ground. Obsessed with natural light, probably to a fault.

Marcus Chen

Marcus Chen

Design Director & Co-Founder

The tech geek of the group. If there's a new sustainable material or building method, Marcus has already tested it. His basement is basically a materials laboratory.

Sarah Okonkwo

Sarah Okonkwo

Sustainability Lead & Co-Founder

The conscience of the studio. She's the reason we actually walk the talk on sustainability. Former environmental engineer who got tired of fixing problems after the fact.

James Park
James Park

Senior Architect

Joined us in 2015. Thinks in 3D, dreams in floor plans. Probably.

Priya Sharma
Priya Sharma

Interior Space Specialist

Makes sure our buildings look good from the inside too. Detail-oriented doesn't even cover it.

Thomas Bergeron
Thomas Bergeron

Project Manager

Keeps the trains running. Somehow turns our chaos into actual completed buildings.

Yuki Tanaka
Yuki Tanaka

3D Visualization Lead

Makes our ideas look real before they're built. Total rendering wizard.

Why We Show Up Every Day

Buildings outlive us all. That's a heavy responsibility when you think about it. Every decision we make - from the foundation to the finishes - affects people and the environment for decades, maybe centuries.

We're not perfect. We've made mistakes, learned from them, kept pushing forward. The construction industry's slow to change, but we've seen real shifts in the past decade. More clients get it now - that sustainable doesn't mean sacrifice.

What keeps us going? Those moments when a client walks into their finished space and just... gets it. When a building performs exactly as we hoped. When we figure out a new way to reduce embodied carbon without blowing the budget.

Ready to Work Together?

Whether you've got a full brief or just a rough idea, we'd love to hear about it. First conversation's always informal - just two people talking about buildings and possibilities.
